LO 1 Understand 3D modelling techniques
Download the sheet here, in which you need to write about
a) Modelling Processes used to create 3D environments
b) Animation used to create 3D environments
c) Intended Application of 3D modelled environments - i.e. what are they used for?

You will need to find real-world examples from
existing media products e.g. film, TV, games.
Here are some suggestions:
i) Modelling
process e.g. you could weite Polygon modelling, NURBS modelling, sub divisional modelling,
extruding 3D shapes.
ii) Animation
/ Motion Generation e.g. How environments change / How objects move in a
3D environment, use of lights, cameras, textures.
iii) Application e.g. How and where are 3D environments used
in computer / console games, animations, live action.
Write approximately a page with relevant images for each question.
If you're stuck?
For help on...
1. Modelling process, see Document One, above
2. Animation, see adding lights above in Document One, and also:
011 Keyframe Basics
from Pixelstreet, this will give you enough information as to the modeling process using different elements.
3. Intended application: You need three different applications of Maya environments media products, eg TV, film, game, advert (that would be four!)
For instance if you look up the making of Wolf Of Wall Street here you can see some Maya/3D buildings.
If you watch the title sequence of Game of Thrones, there's another example.
Choose three examples to write about.
